PSACII:

The newly designed PSACII facility will augment existing 911 services in New York, strengthening the city’s ability to maintain communication in the event of a natural disaster or large-scale emergency. The center is designed to operate continually under adverse conditions and provide redundancy to the city’s primary call center.

FMS was engaged early in the project by the design team to provide an extensive assessment of potential EMI threat concerns to sensitive emergency telecommunication equipment planned for use in the facility.

During all phases of the new building, FMS provided the project’s design team with thorough reviews of all documents from design development through construction drawings, to evaluate potential sources of EMI, assess EMI threat potential to sensitive communication equipment and developed mitigation measures. FMS continued on through the Construction Administration phase providing the design team with reviews of all EMF/RF shielding submittals and performance testing.

FMS EXPERIENCE

Over its 20 years, FMS has successfully completed hundreds of EMI projects which included a diverse range of consulting and mitigation services.
